Welcome to
Illinois State University
We have 20 plus committed,
unified and spiritual campus students
in the ISU campus ministry! Every student
is part of a discipleship group that
meets weekly to encourage and spur one
another on. These discipleship times
have really served to help the students
win the spiritual battles they face,
as well as, to build closer bonds between
the students. One of our purposes is
to get engaged with others and help
them to know Christ.
We
have a weekly Bible Talk to invite our
friends to attend. After word we go to
Buffalo Wild Wings to hang out together.
We share a number of meals together as
a ministry throughout the semester, not
to mention campfire devotionals, back
to school pizza parties, Texas Hold’em
events, and a campus Christmas party to
end out the year. The past six months
we’ve seen God move in amazing ways
as six students have been baptized into
Christ. The ISU campus ministry is a great
place. God has been forging this terrific
group of students into a ministry that
not only helps each other, but the lost
as well!
Campus Ministry Leadership
The campus ministry is
blessed with two types of leadership.
First 
we have student leaders who serve
the ministry by leading bible discussions,
personal bible studies, discipleship discussions,
and the like. We also have been blessed
with two married couples that serve to
bring maturity and teaching to the students.
These married couples participate in and
oversee the discipleship
groups with the
students. Nick Neargarder, the evangelist
for the church, provides ministry training
to the student leader men as they grow
in their leadership abilities.
